BOOTING LINUX & WINDOWS FROM USB(Universal USB Installer)
Universal USB Installer is a Live Linux USB Creator that allows you to choose from a selection of Linux Distributions to put on your USB Flash Drive. The Universal USB Installer is easy to use. Simply choose a Live Linux Distribution, the ISO file, your Flash Drive and, Click Install.
Upon completion, you should have a ready to run bootable USB Flash Drive with your select operating system installed. Other features include,Persistence (if available) – note that casper persistence will only work with fat16 or fat32 formatted drives.
Step 1:Download Universal USB Installer from here and extract it.
Step 2:Now run the set up file and start it.On start up it will look like this:
Step 2:Click on I Agree and proceed.You will see new screen which resembles this screenshot:
Here you may choose various options as per your requirements.Here
a)The first one is a drop down menu bar where you have to select the operating system or application to be booted from USB.
b)If you don't have the ISO or ZIP file of required operating system or application already,you may download it from the Tab Right side that read Download ISO(optional) by simply ticking it.
c)Now browse the ISO or ZIP file of that O.S. or ZIP file from your computer.
Step 3:As soon as you finish this the next drop down menu will appear where you will have to select the USB drive letter to make it bootable as shown:
Step 4:Now click on create and wait for some minutes.First it will extract the corresponding ISO or ZIP then copy it to the USB.
After completion of the set up,the screen looks like:
Now you are done.Click on close and restart your pc and start BIOS setup.
In BIOS,select boot priority and select option, Boot From USB or similar option(depending upon made of processor it varies).
As you select the correct option you will see the require O.S running from your USB.Later you may install it into your pc also.
